| Biografi | Andrew Birse was appointed Portfolio Manager of European Value Equities in March 2016. He is also a Senior Research Analyst and leader of the industrials sector, and has managed the International Small Cap Value service since its inception in 2014. | Biografi | Michele Patrì is the Portfolio Manager and Team Leader for the European Flexible Equity portfolio. He is also a member of the Portfolio Oversight Group for the European Growth portfolio and for the UK Growth portfolio. Previously he was Research Analyst covering the European telecom, satellite, cable and satellite broadcasters sectors, and was the sector head for the telecom sleeve of the International Research Growth portfolio. Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Patrì was a portfolio manager for three years at Citigroup Asset Management in London, where he was in charge of several institutional pan-European portfolios and had sector responsibility for telecom and media stocks. Prior to Citigroup (London), he spent four years at Citibank Private Bank, where he was in charge of the Italian equity product. He joined Alliance Capital in 2000 as a pan-European capital goods analyst, with coverage responsibility for the aerospace and defense, automobile, building materials, and engineering and electrical sectors. Alster became the director of European Growth Research in 2001 and served as the Global Research Growth sector head for infrastructure from 2002 to 2003. In May 2003, he became the European Growth Team Leader, and has been the Team Leader for UK Growth since the inception of the service in 2004. Prior to joining the firm, Alster worked on capital goods, mining, paper, conglomerates, electricals and housebuilders at UBS Brinson, American Express Asset Management and Fleming Investment Management. Before entering financial services, he worked for British Coal for more than seven years. Alster has an MA from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management. Prior to joining the firm, he was an analyst at Fleming Investment Management, covering UK banks, media, property and other financials.
